Learn how to make a simple but beautiful easy origami space rocket! This origami rocket has 2 colors and a retro look: you can make a paper rocket that looks like spaceships from old science fiction comics and book covers. If you want to fold an even easier origami rocket, you can skip the first 2 folds at the beginning to make a 1 color rocket.

It's been over 50 years since the first human landed on the Moon, but with more and more people going up in space thanks to new international missions and new ventures like Space X and Blue Origin space ships, the dream of traveling through space is now becoming popular again amongst kids and grown ups alike! Maybe this little origami spaceship will contribute to ignite this dream into more young or older minds, who knows?

To fold this origami rocket, you need a square piece of paper with 2 different colors. The model is folded from a triangle, so the first step is to cut the square into 2 triangles. So you get two rockets from the price of one! And you can choose to make 2 differently colored rockets from that single piece of paper.

In the video I use a 15x15 cm piece of paper, but you can use other sizes, including smaller sizes, as this origami model does not have a lot of folds.

Important note: this origami space rocket is an original origami model created by Stéphane Gigandet protected by copyright law. Do not publish videos, instructions, diagrams, tutorials etc. that show how to fold this origami rocket, and instead link to this video or embed it. Thank you!
