We will respond to credit bureau disputes within 30 days. A delay may be experienced if the dispute is not mailed to the specified address.

We will notify you of the results of our investigation within 30 days of receiving your dispute. We may take up to 45 days to investigate your dispute if, after providing us with your initial notice of dispute, you provide us with additional information that is relevant to our investigation or we need additional time to complete our investigation. If our investigation finds that the information you are disputing was inaccurate, we will notify the consumer reporting agency of our determination and provide the consumer reporting agency with the information necessary to correct the inaccuracy.

How do I determine which address to send my written statement and supporting documents?

To prevent a delay in the investigation of your dispute, it is important that you send your information to the correct address at TD Bank.

Use the Lewiston, Maine, address for any disputes regarding your TD Bank home equity, mortgage or personal loans, including recreational vehicle/boat, collateral, unsecured and Moneyline Overdraft Protection.

Use the Greenville, South Carolina, address for any disputes regarding your TD credit card. These cards have a TD logo on the face of the card.

Use the Columbia, South Carolina, address for any disputes regarding a credit card issued and serviced by TD Bank N.A. – i.e. a department store, sports team or national retailer branded credit card. Learn more about TD Retail Card Services. †

Use the Portland, Maine, address for any disputes regarding your TD Bank personal deposit accounts, including checking, savings, CD or Money Market accounts.

Use the Minneapolis, Minnesota, address for any disputes regarding your Target Credit Card.

What if I have multiple disputes on different TD Bank products?

Complete a written statement for each product. For your convenience, we've created an optional Consumer Report Dispute Form that you may use. Then mail your written statement and all copies of your supporting documentation to the appropriate address for that product.

What do I do if I disagree with the decision about my dispute?

Once the information furnished in your dispute is deemed applicable and is reviewed, the decision is considered final. However, you may resubmit the dispute to the designated address and provide any missing or new documentation that wasn't submitted at the time of the original dispute.

Your resubmitted dispute will be considered new and will go through the same procedure as your original dispute.
