How do I get started on SPRAVATO ® ?

You can only get SPRAVATO ® at certified SPRAVATO ® treatment centers; ask your healthcare provider to help you find a location or utilize ‘‘Find a Center’’ tool.

To help ensure patient safety, SPRAVATO ® is administered under the supervision of a healthcare provider at a treatment center that is certified in the SPRAVATO ® Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) Program. This could be at a different location than your usual doctor’s office.

Here’s how it’s done:

  1. Ask: Ask your healthcare provider if SPRAVATO ® is right for you.
  2. Locate: Work with your healthcare provider to locate a treatment center near you—with our ‘‘Find a Center’’ tool.
  3. Build: Once you find a treatment center, you will build a treatment plan with the team at the treatment center.

How do I pay for my treatment?

We don’t want cost to get in the way of treatment you need.

We can help you explore options to lower your out-of-pocket cost for SPRAVATO ® . No matter what type of coverage you have—or even if you don’t have coverage—SPRAVATO withMe can help explain your medication insurance coverage and potential out-of-pocket costs. We can also help find programs that may help you pay for SPRAVATO ® .

We have two programs that can help eligible patients using commercial insurance save on out-of-pocket costs for their SPRAVATO ® medication and the in-office treatment observation period after each SPRAVATO ® session:

While patients with government coverage or no insurance coverage are not eligible for the SPRAVATO withMe Savings Program or Observation Rebate Program, they are eligible to have a Care Navigator who can support them throughout their treatment journey. Their Care Navigator can also discuss other cost support options with them for which they may qualify.

Where can I get my treatment?

Once you and your doctor decide that SPRAVATO ® is right for you, your doctor will send your prescription to a specialty pharmacy.

A specialty pharmacy provides medications for patients with certain health conditions. They are equipped to handle and distribute medications, such as SPRAVATO ® , that are not available at retail pharmacies. Specialty pharmacies can also ship medications like yours directly to the treatment center. You will receive a call from the speciality pharmacy once your insurance coverage is confirmed. It’s very important that you answer this call in order to schedule the delivery of your medication.

Your Care Navigator will help you prepare for your first treatment. You will discuss topics such as:

If you have questions or concerns, your Care Navigator can help you understand the specialty pharmacy process and how to prepare for your treatment.

On treatment days, you’ll take SPRAVATO ® nasal spray yourself under the supervision of a healthcare provider. After administering your dose, you may want to listen to music, read, or just relax while a healthcare provider monitors you for at least two hours to check for possible side effects, like a temporary increase in blood pressure that may last for about four hours. After the observation period, when your healthcare provider gives you the okay, you’ll be ready to leave.

You’ll take SPRAVATO ® twice a week for the first month. Your doctor will evaluate you at the end of the first month to determine if you should continue with SPRAVATO ® treatment. Continue taking your oral antidepressant as prescribed.

During the second month, you’ll take SPRAVATO ® once a week. After that, SPRAVATO ® is usually taken once a week or once every two weeks. Your doctor will continue to evaluate you to determine if you should continue with SPRAVATO ® treatment. Continue taking your oral antidepressant as prescribed.

Be sure to share your progress with your healthcare provider, who will remain an important part of your care. Your Care Navigator will continue to be there for you as you develop a treatment routine and will help you stay on track. They will send you important updates and reminders throughout your treatment journey.
